NRA First Steps Shotgun Orientation
The NRA First Steps Shotgun Class was developed to give the student a hands on learning experience with one specific action type of shotgun. This type of class is only open to a maximum of four students at a time and allows for excellent student to instructor ratio. This class is a minimum of three hours that is divided between the class room and shooting range. Students will learn how to shoot moving areal straightaway and angled targets. The class curriculum consists of learning the four rules of safe gun handling, proper handling of the shotgun, proper terminology and definitions for each part of the shotgun, types of shot shells that can be used with the shotgun, shooting fundamentals, proper care, storage and cleaning of the shotgun, and how to obtain continuing development of the skills learned in this class.
Each student will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting Handbook, a brochure on the NRA's gun safety rules, a Booklet that explains the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program, and a Fist Steps Certificate for the type of shotgun you completed the course with.
**NO LIVE AMMUNITION IS ALLOWED IN THE CLASS ROOM!!!**
